Brad Sasser

As Chief Investment Officer, Brad oversees investment strategy and security selection. He brings over twenty eight years of portfolio management and securities analysis experience to developing and implementing our contrarian based value investing strategies.

Prior to forming Sasser Investment Management (at the time named PFG Investment Services) as a principal in 1999, Brad was Vice President and director of Investment Management for Insight Capital Research and Management, Inc. There, he directed the portfolio management and trading teams and oversaw the implementation of investment strategy for the $1.3 billion of client assets.

Brad earned a BS in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Indiana University. In 1995, he earned the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco.

As a Peace Corp volunteer, Brad spent two years in the Marshall Islands and spent additional time there as a corporate manager. Since entering he financial services industry in 1987, Brad has also managed investment portfolios as a financial consultant at Thompson McKinnon Securities and served as a registered representative with Charles Schwab.

With a broad background in trading, investments and client services, Tom Lonzo directs client relations and is a member of the Sasser Investment Management investment committee.

Tom began his career in 1982 on the floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange (PSE). He worked for Don C. Whitaker Inc, the top rated specialist on the west coast where he traded high yield bonds, gold and silver stocks. He then joined Jefferies & Co. where he was a market maker in technology and commodity based stocks. At twenty five years old Tom became one of the youngest members of the Pacific Stock Exchange. He then partnered with the Chairman of the PSE to run his own specialist post where he actively made markets in 50+ stocks.

In 1987, Tom moved to New York City and joined Robb Peck and McCooey the second largest specialist firm on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), to start a proprietary trading and floor execution business. Tom then increased his experience by working for Oscar Gruss & Son as a Managing Director with over thirty employees to manage high net worth and institutional clients. During the mid 1990’s, his floor execution business regularly accounted for 1% of the NYSE daily volume.

Tom moved back to the California to act as the Managing Partner of Bright Trading. At this time, Bright Trading was Goldman Sachs’ largest daily volume client. Tom’s Northern California office was one of Bright Trading’s top producing offices in the United States.
Fisher Investments recruited Tom in 2008 to become one of their top Investment Counselors, where he managed over 150 plus clients with more than $200 million under management.

Tom attended the University of Missouri on a swimming scholarship, where he studied economics and finance.

Heather Loucks

Operations Manager

As Operations Manager of Sasser Investments, Heather oversees back-office operations and administrative systems. In addition, she supports client services, opens new investment accounts and coordinates the administrative paperwork required in the management of client portfolios. Heather also provides research support when needed.

Heather received BS degree in advertising from the College of Communications at the University of Illinois. She then received a Doctor of Law degree from Santa Clara University Law School. Heather then spent many years working in Silicon Valley as a sales and contract law attorney for Oracle and Navis.

Heather has twin daughters that are currently in college. She is very proud of them. Heather also enjoys donating her extra time to several charities in northern California.

Ken Moore

Associate Partner

Ken began his capital markets career on the floor of the Pacific Exchange in San Francisco, as a Specialist for Jefferies and Company, where he focused on energy and airline stocks. He served in this capacity from 1977 through 1995, when he helped structure a sale of the entity to Charles Schwab Capital Markets. He continued in the Specialist capacity on the Exchange until 2000. During his tenure at the Pacific Exchange, Ken was the Manager of the Jefferies Specialist Group, Director of the Schwab Specialist Group, Chairman of the Floor Trading Committee, Chairman of the Marketing Committee, Chairman of Interbourse, and a member of the National Markets Committee.

After leaving the Exchange, Ken formed and managed a proprietary trading desk at Preferred Trading in San Francisco.

In 2003, Ken joined Tom Lonzo at Bright Trading in Walnut Creek, before taking an early retirement for several years. Ken returned to capital markets in 2007, recruited by Fisher Investments in Camas, Washington, where he was a Senior Investment Counselor focused on the firm’s most valuable high net worth clients for eight years.

in 2016, Ken reunited with Tom Lonzo at Sasser Investment Management. Ken attended Oregon State University with a major in Economics and Chemistry. He currently resides in Bend, Oregon.

Frank Sanders

StoneTree Financial, Inc. - Investment Partner

Mr. Sanders brings over thirty years of experience in the mortgage banking and commercial real estate fields. He has participated in financing well over $500 million in real estate projects. Frank founded StoneTree Financial in 2007 and has been integral to StoneTree‘s development as a company and implementation of StoneTree’s conservative & strict underwriting standards. His decades of experience in private, real estate backed lending drives StoneTree’s ability to make decisions quickly, work with complicated loan structures when necessary, and find creative solutions that work for their clients. The primary focus of StoneTree’s lending philosophy is preservation of their clients’ wealth.

Before founding StoneTree, Mr. Sanders spent seventeen years originating and underwriting loans with Pontes Financial Group. Frank was also Senior Vice President of Mortgage Banking for Commercial Bank of San Francisco, responsible for managing outside mortgage activities. He is a member of the Bay Area Mortgage Bankers Association and the California Mortgage Bankers Association. Frank holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business Administration from Utah State University.
